Golf Sim Software Compatibility (GSPro, E6, FSX, more)

A launch monitor without software is a number readout; the simulator experience comes from the platform it connects to. Which platforms each unit supports is a recorded fact in our database: 32 of the 39 monitors we track can drive simulator software, and the five platforms in our matrix connect to between 5 of them (FSX Play) and 20 (E6 Connect). Check this table before buying either half of the setup.

GSPro
GSPro is the enthusiast standard: a $250-per-year license, a Windows gaming PC, 500+ official courses and a huge community library. 19 of the monitors we track connect to it. The two cheapest ways in are the Blue Tees Rainmaker ($499.98) and Garmin Approach R10 ($499.99) — neither needs a vendor plan for the connection. Watch the Yes* rows, though: on the MLM2PRO the GSPro connection rides Rapsodo Premium ($199.99/yr), on the Launch Pro it needs the Gold plan ($499/yr), and on every Uneekor unit it needs Pro ($199/yr) — fees that stack on top of GSPro’s own license. E6 Connect
TruGolf’s E6 Connect is the most widely supported platform in the database — 20 monitors connect. Recorded pricing: Basic at $300/yr with rotating content, Expanded at $600/yr, or a $2,500 perpetual PC license. One recorded gotcha matters more than the sticker: E6 licenses bind per device family and per activation, so an E6 subscription bought for one launch monitor brand does not transfer to another. Several devices ship device-specific E6 bundles — the TruGolf Apogee runs exclusively on E6 and includes its first year.
What about Awesome Golf, TGC 2019, and FSX Play?
Awesome Golf (13 monitors connect) is the family-friendly option: $14.99/month, $159.99/yr, or a $349.99 lifetime license. The Golf Club 2019 (8 monitors) is a one-time purchase at roughly $900–$1,000 with more than 170,000 community courses; its recorded quirks are that R10 users must buy it through the Garmin Golf app, and it is not compatible with the SkyTrak family — the original SkyTrak and SkyTrak+ rows are recorded as dropped support. FSX Play is Foresight’s own platform (5 monitors): it comes bundled with Foresight hardware — the GC3 ships unlocked with 25 courses — and reaches the Bushnell Launch Pro through Bushnell’s subscription tiers.
What about first-party apps?
A blank third-party column does not always mean no simulation: several units ship their own software worlds. Rapsodo Courses puts 30,000+ simulated courses behind the MLM2PRO’s Premium plan; the SkyTrak ST MAX — recorded as having no third-party support — plays courses through SkyTrak’s own app plans; and Trackman units run Trackman’s Virtual Golf rather than any platform in the matrix. At the other end, 7 of the 39 monitors in the database drive no simulator software at all (among them the Garmin G82, PRGR HS-130A, Shot Scope LM1, and Swing Caddie SC300i) — those are practice monitors, not simulator engines, and their product pages say so plainly.
